Equipment Analysis

Advanced Stationary Toxic Gas and Oxygen Detection

The Dräger Polytron 3000 is an intrinsically safe, stationary gas detector designed for the continuous monitoring of more than 60 toxic gases and oxygen levels in ambient air. Developed on a modular, future-proof platform, this industrial-grade transmitter ensures precise, rapid monitoring in hazardous manufacturing environments, preventing atmospheric hazards before they compromise personnel safety.

High-Performance Sensing & Simple Maintenance

Equipped with plug-and-play electrochemical DrägerSensors, this gas detector features an integrated internal data memory that stores all essential calibration and configuration metrics. Operators can choose to either connect a pre-calibrated sensor directly or perform calibration locally at the transmitter. The device also utilizes built-in digital temperature compensation to ensure accurate output readings despite shifting environmental conditions.

Innovative Docking Station Concept

The smart, two-component design split between the robust docking station and the main Polytron 3000 transmitter saves significant installation time and operational costs. The docking station can be mechanically mounted and wired into place well in advance, protected by a temporary rain and dust cover. During active system commissioning, the electronics module is locked effortlessly into the docking station using a quick-lock mechanism.

Industrial Applications & Use Cases

  • Chemical Processing & Petrochemicals: Reliable tracking of toxic chemical off-gassing and process leaks.

  • Semiconductor Manufacturing: Continuous cleanroom monitoring for specialized hazardous process gases.

  • Water & Wastewater Treatment: Detecting toxic compounds like hydrogen sulfide or methane buildup in confined processing spaces.

  • General Manufacturing: Maintaining plant wide oxygen depletion safety infrastructure.
